Tyre Down™ Fitting Procedure
To check that Tyre Down™ will fit your bike drape a length of string or rope over your rear tyre with each end of the rope held to the proposed fixing points 750mm to 900mm apart. If there is no interference with any part of your bike the Tyre Down™ will fit. See illustrations below.
The following steps will assist you in setting up your Tyre Down™ product correctly. PLEASE NOTE: Trail Bike and Road Bike versions are fitted in exactly the same way.
Step 1: (Left Image) Measure the distance from the most forward part of the front tyre to a point just forward of the rear axle. The front wheel should be positioned so that the bike cannot roll forward and the bike's steering cannot turn. It is also recommended that a tie of some form be fitted to prevent the front wheel from bouncing vertically and/or horizontally during transport.

Step 2: (Right Image) Anchor points must be fixed securely to a strong base 750mm to 900mm apart (29.5 inches to 35.5 inches) and approximately 50mm (2 inches) forward of the rear wheel axle. The rear wheel should be positioned mid way between the anchor points. Place the Tyre Down™ cradle over the rear tyre with the axle centred. (Road Tyre Down™ shown below)
Remove any slack from the strapping before tightening with the ratchets. Refer to the tag on the ratchet straps for more information. The entire job takes less than a minuite.
Warning: Improper fitting or use of Tyre Down™ may result in the motorcycle not being properly secured.
