 Testimonials

I saw an advertisement for your Tyre Down product in Cycle Torque about 12 months ago and about the same time read a product review somewhere else in the motorcycle press. I was impressed with the concept and keen to give it a try for transporting my dirt bike. I didn't get 'round to purchasing the Tyre Down until I saw your stand at the Sydney Motorcycle Show in November. And it's taken me another two months to get around to fixing mounting points on my trailer!

But yesterday everything was at last ready for me to give it at try. The first thing I noticed was that the bike is much easier to secure on my own compared to using conventional tie downs. I didn't go far, just around the local suburb, but my first impression of the Tyre Down is that it is brilliant. I was really impressed with it - it was simple to use and held the bike securely without loading up the suspension. Congratulations on a superb product. I wish you every success with it and I will certainly be recommending it to everyone I know with a dirt bike.

Since installing the tie down points in our VW longwheelbase Transporter late last year I have not used a pair of tie downs. I am always picking up and dropping off bikes, from Ducatis to trail bikes and I find the Tyre Down system to be excellent. The ratchet units take a little while to get use to, but once that is figured out the system is quick and convenient to use. I load the bikes to the back of the van (both pointing forward), this leaves me the side door to load riding gear etc. Last week I had a BMW GS1200 and our CBR600RR in at the same time without a problem.
Another great Aussie product! Well done.

We recently bought two of the road bike tyredowns from you at the Moto GP Expo tent
and just wanted to let you know that they are as you guys stated. Absolutely fabulous!
We had a wobbly and very hairy, scary trip down from Brisbane to the Island with the bikes strapped to the trailer, twice having to stop and re-strap one of the bikes back into place.
However on the way back with your tyredowns in place, the bikes didn't budge an inch and were so stable it was impressive, (even with the speed and incredibly bouncy drive back on the old highway).
We even had a fellow jump out of his van at a red light in Melbourne and run back to ask us where we got the tyre downs from (he had obviously been following and watching us for a while), so we gave him one of your brochures.
Everyone we have shown back here in Qld is also suitably impressed and interested in both the road bike ones and the dirt bike ones……………….……..Excellent job guys! Wish we had had them for the trip down too!..................................

I would like to offer the following comment about your products.

I am in the Army and don't really like the removalists moving my motorbikes when I am posted to different locations.
I recently moved from Brisbane to Darwin and found the KYA Racing products to be excellent.
I have a Suzuki GSXR 1100 and a Yamaha WR 450. I used the two types of Tyre Downs, the special anchor points and the front wheel guides.

I have a single axle 8' X 5' box trailer. The bikes fitted easily side by side. The wheel guides made loading the bikes very easy (by myself). I had the trailer builder weld some extra pieces of metal under the trailer floor so the anchor points were better reinforced.

Although the trailer is not built specially for bikes the products from KYA Racing transform it into an excellent bike trailer.

The anchor point tie down loops are easily removed to leave the trailer floor virtually flat. The wheel guides are easily removed also.

The bikes travelled very well over the five and a half days of driving between Brisbane and Darwin. The roads were not always smooth and the bikes always sat well in the trailer with the suspension absorbing the bumps without damage to the forks and seals. In the past the Suzuki fork seals had suffered from securing the bike using normal tie-downs.

I certainly recommend the products.

Just wanted to comment on your excellent product.
Last week I travelled across Canada for 5 days with my bike trailered in a 5x8 enclosed hauler. Between the front wheel chock and your rear wheel tie-down the bike didn't budge an inch nor require any further strapping.
I am very impressed and will certainly recommend your product to anyone who requires a stress-free tie-down system.

I promised to give you a short report about how the Tyre Down worked for securing my Honda XL1000V4 Varadero to my trailer. We took a 10 day trip to France in the first half of May 2007.

Because I was a bit anxious at the beginning, I strapped the front wheel to the wheel chock to prevent it from bouncing up and down and to eliminate any movement forth and back. I even enhanced the stability of my bike using classic tie downs on either front side of the bike, only pulling it one inch into its suspension. This does not hurt my dear old Varadero, being designed to withstand bumpy roads.... I added a heavy duty chain which I connected the bike to the trailer's chassis with in order to prevent it from being stolen while enjoying a cup of coffee. This additional lateral tying down proved to be redundant and on the way home I only strapped the front wheel to the wheel chock.

I attached and secured the Tyre Down as you explain in the manual. It works like a charm, takes only a couple of minutes and the bike stands solid as a rock.

We went to Rocamadour, in the Midi Pyrenees of France, some 950 Km from where we live. About 850 Km of a single journey were on highways, a good 100 Km were on smaller, bumpier and sometimes very winding roads. On the way to France the weather was rather bad, with gusty winds up to 60 Km/Hr, mostly from aside.

Having used the Tyre Down now for some 1900 Km, in both very good and rather poor weather conditions, at acceptable speeds, securing a rather tall and heavy (280 kg) bike to my trailer, I can only confirm that Tyre Down is THE tool I was looking for.

My wife Patricia, who normally could not sleep for about two weeks prior to a vacation at the thought of loading- and strapping operations, now assists me with a confident smile on her face.

I strongly advise bikers to consider the use of the Tyre Down when they transport their precious motorcycle by trailer, van or truck. It is easy to use, intelligently designed, well manufactured, does what it says. This product is second to none. I'm pretty sure that there is a market for this product in Europe.

Your Tyre Downs, front wheel support and the simple front tie down successfully allowed our bikes to travel 1/2 way around the world and back. The bikes never moved and the suspensions
were free to move as normal. The incredible speed to tie each bike down and then release them makes your products fool proof, incredibly simple to use and definitely the safest way to transport virtually any bike any distance.

I recently bought a couple of your Tyre Downs (an off-road and a medium road) and I have to say that it's an excellent product. I was so impressed at how quick and easy they are to use and how securely they hold a motor bike.

Thanks for the great product!

Tony

I have just completed a 2,600km journey from Ballarat Vic to Kalgoorlie WA using the roadbike Tyre Down on my CBR1100XX Blackbird and it didn't move an inch on the whole trip - Fantastic product.

I will be recommending your product to all my motorcycle mates.

Cheers

Steve
